Ideas shaping our village
Real suggestions from real Rockville Centre residents.
More benches and shade trees along Sunrise Highway
Walking along Sunrise Highway in summer is brutal. A few more benches and some shade trees would make a huge difference for seniors and families.
Yes! My mom walks this route every morning. This would mean so much to her.
Totally agree — great idea for the whole community.
After-school coding club at Covert Avenue School
Kids need tech skills early. A free after-school coding club would give every child in RVC a head start.
Priya S.: My daughter would love this. Please make it happen!
Better lighting near the LIRR station at night
The walk from the station to the parking lot is too dark. Better lighting would make everyone feel safer.
Tom B.: This has been needed for years. Huge support from me.
Monthly community clean-up days in Village Park
Organize a monthly volunteer clean-up in Village Park. A small effort from many hands keeps our park beautiful.
Leo M.: I'd volunteer every month. Count me in!
